Peace and Hope
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. 2 And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
For Reflection
Life can be difficult! We all have experienced troubled times where just a few minutes of peace would be heavenly.
There is an alternative way of looking at trouble. Call it a challenge. Change yourself from a victim of circumstances to a person in charge of change. The peace you desire may require some risk. don't let the fear of unknown results slow you down.
In whom can you trust?
Pray
Pray so that you can mirror the life of Jesus. Pray so that the truths of love, justice, and peacemaking dominate the syle of your speech. Pray so that your truth-telling inspires integrity, honesty, and self-sacrifice for the common good. You stand in the way of God's forgiveness and grace.
