Jesus Teaches about True Worship

Live in the light of God (Isaiah 2:5)

The Prayer of Jesus

Luke 17:1-4 The Message

A Kernel of Faith

17 1-2 He said to his disciples, “Hard trials and temptations are bound to come, but too bad for whoever brings them on! Better to wear a millstone necklace and take a swim in the deep blue sea than give even one of these dear little ones a hard time!
3-4 “Be alert. If you see your friend going wrong, correct him. If he responds, forgive him. Even if it’s personal against you and repeated seven times through the day, and seven times he says, ‘I’m sorry, I won’t do it again,’ forgive him.”

For Reflection

When you were a child, you did not come into this world with the ability to walk, let alone take care of your self. As you attempted to walk, you fell many times. You learned from those falls not only how to keep your balance, but also how to run. Whatever wisdom you employ today was a result of learning from your mistakes. We tend to learn more from our mistakes than from our successes.

As you experience the growth in Grace of fellow believers, you will see what some call backsliding. Remember your errors in judgment in your faith story and forgive the missteps of others and help them grow in Grace.

Pray

Pray and contemplate the faith journey. Pray and commit to helping others grow in Grace.
