Justice and the Prophets
God Promises a Just Kingdom Live in the light of God (Isaiah 2:5)
Resurrection Hope
1 Corinthians 15:24-28 New International Version
Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
For Reflection
The will of God seems to be that the whole human race will be transformed, resurrected by the Word. As Jesus has risen, death has already been destroyed. The context of death as the enemy may refer to those people who are blind to the will of God. They have often been referred to as being dead. When Jesus, with the help of the faithful, irradicates the God blindness, then the dead will be transformed and all of us will again live in oneness with God as Adam before the fall.
Pray
Pray prayers of praise and thanksgiving for the patient love that God has shown to us. Pray that you will be worthy of being called a child of God.
