I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it. 4 I am not angry. If only there were briers and thorns confronting me! I would march against them in battle; I would set them all on fire. 5 Or else let them come to me for refuge; let them make peace with me, yes, let them make peace with me.” 6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit For ReflectionGod is not dead. God is not a puppet master. God is not the manager who ignores things that are going well and only contacts you when you do something wrong. God judges.
God compares what is happening in God's Creation to God's intention that all things work for good. God weeps for us. God laughs with us. God loves us with merciful compassion. God corrects us with gentle nudges and speaks to us through God's divinely animated prophets. God warns about our behavior that results in self-inflicted untoward consequences. God also preserves our right to choose obedience. If we did not suffer, would we ever grow into grace? PrayPray. Give thanks and praise the Living God who resides in your soul through the Holy Spirit and guides you into reconciliation. Praise God for God's ever-abiding presence. Pray and make peace with God.
