Kindred, Get Along

Celebrating God

God's People Offer Praise
Live in the light of God (Isaiah 2:5)

Glorifying God

Psalm 133
The Message

133 1-3 How wonderful, how beautiful,
when brothers and sisters get along!
It’s like costly anointing oil
    flowing down head and beard,
Flowing down Aaron’s beard,
flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.
It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon
flowing down the slopes of Zion.
Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing,
    ordains eternal life.

Psalm 134
The Message

134 1-3 Come, bless God,
    all you servants of God!
You priests of God posted to the nightwatch
    in God’s shrine,
Lift your praising hands to the Holy Place,
    and bless God.
In turn, may God of Zion bless you—
God who made heaven and earth

For Reflection

"Salvation may not be at hand, but a path to it is discernible, even if you have to squint to see it."

Lyrics (excerpts)
Is it me who never compromise
Only see things through my eyes
Which means it's my way
Or is it you who's always shutting down
Never wanting to talk about
The problems we've got
Or is it we to blame for all that's goin' down
Always say that I love you but
We can't work it out
It's making us not wanna stay around
We need to sit down and ask ourselves...
Why can't we? Why can't we get along...

And see your point of view.
And take the back seat.
Is it true that I'm sorta unreasonable
And I don't know how to love
Even though God sent me to you
Or is it we to blame for all that's goin' down...

Why can't we, why can't we get along
When we know, we can't be away from each other for long
Why can't we, why can't we get along
When at the end of the day we know we've gotta go home

Pray

Pray and listen to the other. Pray and love those who disagree with you. Pray and strive to work it out.
