Whom Do You Glorify?

Glorifying God

54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

For Reflection

If I aggrandize, canonize, deify, dignify, elevate, ennoble, enshrine, enthrone, exalt, magnify, or in any other seek to promote myself in the name of God or take credit for the works of the Lord, I would be a liar, a false prophet. Jesus did not claim to perform miracles.  Jesus said that one's faith was the healing force, or It was God who healed.  This was not an act of humility. It was the truth!

Pray

Pray and do the work God has prepared you to do. Pray and place the credit for that which had been done where it belongs, in God's glorious gracious hands.
