Punishment or Consequences?

"If you had only recognized this day, and everything that was good for you! But now it's too late. In the days ahead your enemies are going to bring up their heavy artillery and surround you, pressing in from every side. They'll smash you and your babies on the pavement. Not one stone will be left intact. All this because you didn't recognize and welcome God's personal visit. For Reflection "All this because you didn't recognize and welcome God's personal visit." Some would call this punishment for disobedience or sin.  But take another look. It may not have been punishment. Instead, it may be the natural consequence of not recognizing Jesus for who he was. It was the result of not following the way of Christ as exemplified by Jesus. It may have resulted from not having the courage to love extravagantly as God loves.  Pray Pray and let the Holy Spirit guide your life. Pray and learn to love extravagantly.
