Some would call this punishment for disobedience or sin.
But take another look. It may not have been punishment. Instead, it may be the natural consequence of not recognizing Jesus for who he was. It was the result of not following the way of Christ as exemplified by Jesus. It may have resulted from not having the courage to love extravagantly as God loves. PrayPray and let the Holy Spirit guide your life. Pray and learn to love extravagantly. Pray and have the courage to love your enemies as well as you love yourself.
