God Frees and Redeems Celebrate Passover Liberation Live in the light of God (Isaiah 2:5)  1 Corinthians 10:1-5 The Message 10 1-5 Remember our history, friends, and be warned. All our ancestors were led by the providential Cloud and taken miraculously through the Sea. They went through the waters, in a baptism like ours, as Moses led them from enslaving death to salvation life. They all ate and drank identical food and drink, meals provided daily by God. They drank from the Rock, God's fountain for them that stayed with them wherever they were. And the Rock was Christ. But just experiencing God's wonder and grace didn't seem to mean much—most of them were defeated by temptation during the hard times in the desert, and God was not pleased. 1 Corinthians 5:7-8 The Voice 7 Get rid of all the old yeast; then you'll become new dough, just as you are already a people without sin's leavening influence. You see, the Anointed One is our Passover lamb; He has been sacrificed for us. 8 So let the real feast begin. Get rid of all the old yeast, the yeast of hatred and evil. Throw it out so we can feast on the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth For Reflection Praise God! Jump up and down with unfettered joy! God has shown us God's face. God has sent his son to illustrate God's persona. What love is this that would sacrifice a son so that the world would repent of their sinful ways and be reconciled to the Creator? Yes, there is sadness in the Easter story's Friday. BUT SUNDAY IS COMING! So, rejoice and celebrate. Death has been defeated. Fear is displaced by courage and trust in the Lord. Resist the temptation to act maliciously, Resist the temptation to seek carnal desires. Find the promised joy in living a life dedicated to God. Experience the peace that passes all understanding that results from unreasonable, radical trust in the Lord.   Pray Pray and let the Holy Spirit guide your life. Pray, "Father, I place my life in your hands." Pray this phrase over and over again. Pray this prayer driving to work. Pray this prayer when you lie down to sleep. Pray this prayer with your first waking breath. Pray this prayer and let it transform your everyday-walking around self. Pray this prayer and be amazed at how it changes you.
