Justice and the Prophets

God Requires Justice

Live in the light of God (Isaiah 2:5)

Called to Accountability

Genesis 1:4-9 New International Version
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.

Amos 5:8-9 New International Version
8 He who made the Pleiades and Orion,
    who turns midnight into dawn
    and darkens day into night,
who calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
    the Lord is his name.
9 With a blinding flash, he destroys the stronghold
and brings the fortified city to ruin.

For Reflection

The power that formed the creation is the power that can also turn affliction and sorrow into prosperity and joy and easily turn the success of sinners into darkness. Those sinners make devastation their legacy.  Those that seek and love the good are the remnants of the faithful. God will respond to pleas to renew a right spirit within you and you shall pass through the judgment of God.

Pray
Pray for a renewed spirit and the practice of obedience that will restore you and enable your righteousness to be a witness to God's mercy.
